August 28th, 2022 by

A full-sized pickup truck is what you need to make your job easier. We at Landers Toyota NWA are bringing two strong options for your next truck. Let’s discuss the difference between the 2022 Toyota Tundra and the 2022 Ram 1500.

Our New Toyota Tundra Inventory

The 2022 Toyota Tundra is a third-generation pickup and includes plenty of power and capability no matter which of the seven trim levels you choose, which are SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro, and Capstone. Each trim have four-wheel drive as an option, but the TRD Pro and Capstone come standard with 4WD as well as the i-FORCE engine. This option comes with 583 pound feet of torque and is available to the other five trim levels as well.

Choose between Double Cab or CrewMax Cab options as well as different bed lengths.

The towing capacity can reach up to 12,000 pounds. The truck bed is aluminum-reinforced, set to be dent and scratch-resistant. An available tailgate bump switch lets you lower the tailgate hands-free.

LED lighting keeps your surroundings visible. All trim levels offer LED turn signals on the outer mirrors, including on tow mirrors. Learn all about the 2022 Toyota Tundra.

The 2022 Ram 1500 comes with eight trim levels. You can choose to add available 4WD and hybrid powertrain options to most of the trim levels. Choose between Crew Cab or Quad Cab and fewer truck bed lengths than the Tundra. The Ram 1500 does come with available signal lamps on the mirrors and LED lights, but there are not options for reinforced truck beds or electric tailgates for more convenient or efficient workloads.

The interior of the 2022 Tundra is just as modern and updated as the exterior. With available heated and ventilated front seats, you and your front passenger can be nice and cozy for any length of time. Five USB ports around the cabin mean no more fighting for phone chargers, and the available panoramic moonroof leads to some amazing cloud watching and stargazing on long drives. The standard touchscreen size is eight inches, but there is an upgraded 14-inch touchscreen and you can connect to your device using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The 10-in head-up display is available to Platinum and 1794 Edition trim and is standard for the Tundra Capstone. The 2022 Tundra comes with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, a safety package that includes a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert, Automatic High Beams, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, and Road Sign Assist. Learn more about Toyota Safety Sense 2.5. Additional safety features, like Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, can be added.

The Ram 1500 does have an available panoramic moonroof, heated and ventilated front seats, but there are only two USB ports in the cabin. Just to the right of the steering wheel, the 2022 Ram 1500 sports a standard 8.4-inch touchscreen or an available 12-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Ram truck, like the Tundra, also has an available head-up display. The 2022 Ram 1500’s safety features include available Pedestrian Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Automatic High Beam Control, and Forward-Collision Warning. Ram’s safety features mentioned, however, do not come standard, like Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 does on the Tundra.
